About the role
- Databricks is seeking an Associate I, Business Operations to own a portfolio of AI agent workflows that automate business-critical Sales Operations processes.
- The role involves translating business requirements into agent designs, deploying them into production, monitoring performance, and leading systems improvement projects.
- This is a cross-functional position partnering with Strategy, Planning, Finance, IT, and Data Engineering teams across the enterprise systems stack.
Responsibilities
- Build and operate AI agents by translating operational SOPs into agent workflows, and deploy, monitor, and fine tune agents that handle field requests autonomously.
- Own an agent portfolio by managing a set of automated workflows end-to-end, including agent-to-human escalation paths and performance optimization.
- Drive process and systems improvement by identifying next workflows to automate, diagnosing cross-system integration issues, and leading data quality remediation.
- Partner cross-functionally to gather requirements from Sales, Finance, IT, and Strategy stakeholders and influence Directors and Sr. Directors on automation priorities.
- Support operational continuity by contributing to critical business processes including annual planning cycles.
Requirements
- 5–8 years in operations, systems administration, or business process automation — ideally in high-growth tech companies.
- Systems fluency with an understanding of APIs, data schemas, and integration patterns, and how enterprise systems connect.
- AI-native thinking using LLMs, agent platforms, and automation tools to solve business problems, with strong judgment on when to automate vs. when manual oversight is needed.
- Hands-on experience building AI agents or automation workflows for AI agent deployment.
- Process design experience thinking in systems, not tasks, with a proven track record designing and improving operational workflows.
- Cross-functional influence, comfortable gathering requirements across multiple teams and influencing Director-level stakeholders.
- Bias for action, being self-motivated and finding ways forward with AI tools rather than waiting to be unblocked.
