About the role
- The Business Analyst will support Airbus operations in Kinston, NC, by analyzing business processes and tracking performance metrics within a manufacturing environment. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify improvement opportunities and support strategic initiatives, including machine migration activities.
Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders.
- Support manufacturing and operations teams through data analysis and reporting.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, KPIs, and performance metrics.
- Identify process inefficiencies and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support project planning, execution, and tracking activities.
- Create business process documentation, workflows, and standard operating procedures.
- Facilitate meetings with stakeholders and communicate findings effectively.
- Assist in root cause analysis and problem-solving efforts related to operational performance.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, supply chain, quality, and finance teams.
- Support the preparation and maintenance of test environments and test data for machine migration activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a related analytical role.
- Prior experience supporting manufacturing operations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with data visualization and reporting tools, such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Preferred qualifications
- Aerospace or aviation industry experience.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous-improvement methodologies.
- Experience working in cross-functional project teams.
- Experience supporting system, process, or machine migration initiatives.
