About the role
- The Busser at Soho Beach House Miami is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and structured environment for members and guests. This role supports runners, servers, and management by managing table resets, restocking service stations, and ensuring guest needs are met promptly.
Responsibilities
- Detail all tables before service begins, ensuring neat place settings and candles.
- Ensure appropriate table settings and china are used for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and feast services.
- Stock all stations with small plates, sharing plates, water and wine glasses, and silverware.
- Maintain bread warmers and ensure bread and water are delivered upon guest arrival.
- Clear plates, silver, and glassware between courses and reset tables for new guests.
- Polish silverware and ensure pot wash is stored according to local standards.
- Complete side work before and after service as specified in side work sheets.
- Restock bar area cabinets and shelves with glassware, silverware, and plate ware.
- Remove dirty linen from stations and ensure trash is emptied and cleaned.
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Flexible schedule with availability to work weekends and holidays when needed.
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in fast-paced environments.
- Basic verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work on feet for at least 8 hours.
- Ability to move, pull, carry, or lift at least 40 pounds.
- Ability to seize, grasp, turn, and hold objects with hands.
- Ability to occasionally kneel, bend, crouch, and climb.
