About the role
- Soho House Paris is seeking a Commis bar / Barback to support the bar team and restaurant staff. This role involves assisting with opening and closing procedures, maintaining bar supplies, and preparing garnishes to ensure high-quality service.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean and tidy workspace, including cleaning tables and counters
- Clear empty glasses and bottles from tables
- Restock the bar with small equipment such as napkins and coasters
- Prepare shakers, juices, and cocktail garnishes
- Restock products required for drink preparation
- Change beer kegs
- Fill ice bins
- Ensure cleaning tools are available during service
- Assist bartenders during busy periods
- Restock alcoholic and soft drinks after each service
Requirements
- Must be of legal age to serve alcohol
- Demonstrate an interest in the restaurant industry
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong team spirit
- Knowledge of basic bar menus and recipes
- Good physical condition to carry beer kegs and trays
- Professional presentation in line with company standards
Preferred qualifications
- Previous experience in a bar or restaurant
