About the role
- The Continuity of Supply intern will join the Global Sourcing Team to manage material pipelines and optimize supplier relationships. This role involves balancing cost, quality, and supply resilience while supporting the introduction of new products into the market.
Responsibilities
- Work directly with current and potential suppliers to maintain material flow.
- Support supply chain risk assessments and contingency planning.
- Develop strategies to optimize suppliers for cost, quality, and supply resilience.
- Conduct market analysis to provide sourcing insights.
- Manage purchase orders, invoices, and supplier communications.
- Lead supplier sourcing, qualification, and negotiation processes.
- Coordinate logistics and support the transition of products from development to mass production.
Requirements
- Background in technical, engineering, business, supply chain, or procurement fields.
- Ability to source, contact, and evaluate potential suppliers for quality, reliability, cost, and capacity.
- Ability to communicate effectively in-person and remotely with various teams.
- Organizational skills to handle concurrent projects and document progress.
- Leadership experience and exposure to project management.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
Preferred qualifications
- Manufacturing and procurement experience
- Advanced use of Microsoft Excel and Google Suite
- Product manufacturing knowledge, including GD&T
- Experience with injection molding, machining, sheet metal stamping, bending, forming, and SMT
- Fluent English skills
