About the role
- At Soho House the Cowshed Esthetician is an experienced, dynamic individual who possesses a real passion and pride in their work.
- This is a part-time Cowshed Esthetician role located at Soho House Chicago.
Responsibilities
- Provide high quality services and elevated experiences to members and guests
- Provide consistent professional treatments in accordance with spa protocols and accepted certification practices
- Evaluate a customer’s skin condition and offer recommendations for treatments
- Perform facials, waxing, and body services that meet established guidelines and fulfill member expectations
- Assess contraindications of guest that may prevent service from taking place
- Uphold the fundamentals of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law and the spa’s policies and procedures
- Perform prep work and properly clean and restock room as required
- Communicate to management any and all occurrences involving staff or guests in the spa that require attention
- Handle guests’ questions and concerns professionally and courteously
- Provide accurate, appropriate and immediate responses to all requests by members and guests
Requirements
- Valid Illinois State License
- Knowledge of safeguarding and health and safety measures
- Strong communication and people skills, business savvy and technology efficient
- Flexible schedule and ability to work nights, weekends and holidays
- Excellent time management
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced and demanding environment
- Must be able to seize, grasp, turn and hold objects with hands
- Must be able to move, pull, push, carry or lift at least 30 pounds
- Must be able to stand, walk, lift, and bend for long periods of time
Preferred qualifications
- Trained on the Hydrafacial device a plus
