About the role
- Tennr is seeking a Data Engineer to own the end-to-end data engineering function, building and maintaining production pipelines from the application into Snowflake.
- The role involves leading EHR discovery and integration initiatives across healthcare systems and architecting the strategic data platform.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain production pipelines from Tennr's application into Snowflake.
- Lead EHR discovery and integration initiatives across 5–10 healthcare systems.
- Architect Snowflake instance setup, implement security best practices, and manage governance.
- Design and implement data models to transform raw data into usable assets.
- Surface and share data across internal teams for analytics and tooling.
- Implement monitoring and alerting to detect and resolve pipeline issues.
- Explore approaches to structure and extract insights from unstructured referral documentation.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in data engineering.
- Proven expertise with Snowflake and modern cloud data platforms like AWS or GCP.
- Hands-on experience with data pipeline tools and orchestration frameworks.
- Strong understanding of healthcare data, including claims, EHR systems, and integration patterns.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and comfort with complex, ambiguous integration challenges.
- Outstanding communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in collaborative environments.
Preferred qualifications
- Healthcare-data security awareness and familiarity with HIPAA considerations and data governance.
- Prior experience in a startup or fast-paced tech environment.
