About the role
- The Data Hall Design Intern will work alongside designers to produce drawings for liquid-cooled AI data halls, including rack elevations, row layouts, and cable pathway routing. This role involves creating reusable families and templates for reference designs that will be implemented in real drawing sets.
Responsibilities
- Work in Revit and AutoCAD to produce data hall design drawings
- Develop rack elevations and row layouts
- Design cable pathway routing
- Create reusable families and templates for reference designs
- Participate in design review processes
Requirements
- Current enrollment in a relevant program (Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Drafting and Design Technology)
- Military experience in drafting, engineering, or facilities
- 2+ years of prior work in drafting, architecture, or MEP design
- Working proficiency in AutoCAD or Revit
- Ability to share samples of work
- Ability to read construction and equipment drawings
- Understanding of plan, elevation, and section views
- Attention to detail regarding dimensions and specifications
- Ability to travel to Data Center sites 1-2 times
Preferred qualifications
- Revit family authoring or template work
- BIM coordination exposure (Navisworks, clash detection)
- Data center, mission-critical, or high-density facility exposure
- BICSI coursework
- Dynamo or Python scripting for drawing automation
- Bluebeam markup workflows
