The Electronics Sourcing Engineer builds a world-class electronics supplier network for products to ensure continuity of supply, scale to support demand, provide cost reduction, and mitigate supply chain risks.
The role executes strategic projects throughout the product development lifecycle to optimize commodities, sub-commodities, and individual suppliers.
The position works with suppliers to implement changes and improvements affecting quality, cost, capacity, risk, and sub-supplier management while launching new products.

Proactively communicate with the design engineering and product teams prior to and during the NPI development process to understand current and future needs for new product components.
Work with the Electronics Category Managers on sourcing decisions that are aligned with their strategies and seek cross-functional team agreement on discrepancies.
Establish strong relationships with manufacturers and their associated representatives to understand product roadmaps and availability.
Work with the sourcing team to develop and ramp component sources for new products and support the NPI purchasing team's efforts.
Lead RFX process with electronics supply base to establish costing for all electronic components.
Own quarterly Material Spend Reporting.
Assist respective Category Managers and cross-functional teams in developing and executing multi-dimensional commodity strategies supporting the NPI work stream.
Support negotiations of Axon pricing at the component level for electronics and partner with category managers to develop and execute negotiation strategies.
Identify and manage the implementation of cost reduction opportunities on new and existing products in collaboration with category management and continuous engineering teams.
Lead supplier selection process to select the right supplier for the part, considering long term fit and total cost of ownership.

BS in Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain or related field
3+ years of experience in supply chain, technical sourcing, and/or engineering
Proven success developing strong relationships with key stakeholders to drive proper rigor in supplier selection process
Skilled at should-cost modeling, pricing and terms & conditions negotiations
Work experience in a new product introduction (NPI) sourcing environment with an ability to manage rapid changes typical during the NPI development process
Experience dealing with electronics supply base
Experience with a high mix/low volume procurement environment
Located or willing to relocate to Scottsdale, AZ
