About the role
- Think Academy U.S is seeking 1-on-1 Math Tutors to support project testing and ongoing curriculum development for students in lower elementary grades.
- The role involves delivering personalized online math instruction aligned with U.S. Common Core State Standards (CCSS) to help young learners build foundational skills.
Responsibilities
- Deliver one-on-one online math lessons for students in Grades 1-4 across North America, aligned with the CCSS framework
- Teach in English using interactive and student-centered methods to promote engagement, strengthen core concept understanding, and address questions in real time
- Prepare lesson content based on individual student needs, ensuring well-structured and high-quality instruction
- Provide timely feedback and targeted guidance to support student understanding and continuous improvement
- Bring patience and warmth when working with young learners, and adapt communication style to keep lower elementary students engaged and motivated
- Participate in paid training to help get started
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above
- Available and willing to work during weekday evenings and weekends (US time zones)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred qualifications
- Majors in Math, Education, or related fields
- Teaching experience
- Valid teaching certificate
- Bilingual in Mandarin Chinese
