About Monks
- Monks is the global, digital-first, data-driven, unitary operating brand of S4Capital plc, where our culture centers on how we show up for the work and for one another. That begins with the commitment to strive for mastery—taking deep pride in our craft and creating work that sets the bar. In everyday execution, we drive momentum by choosing bold action rather than waiting for certainty. Above all, our teams are stronger together, bringing diverse perspectives into a unified team that communicates with clarity, trust, and mutual respect.
- This commitment to craft and innovation translates directly into widespread industry acclaim: Monks was named a Contender in The Forrester Wave™: Global Marketing Services and a leader in the 2026 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Global Digital Marketing Agencies. It ranks among Cannes Lions' Top 10 Creative Companies (2022-25) and remains the only partner featured in AdExchanger’s Programmatic Power Players list every year (2020-24). Named Adweek’s first AI Agency of the Year (2023) and The One Show’s inaugural AI Pioneer Organization (2025), Monks was also awarded Business Intelligence Group’s 2026 Excellence in Artificial Intelligence Award in the Human-Machine Interaction Team category. Additionally, Monks.Flow earned AI-based Marketing Solution of the Year at the 2026 AI Breakthrough Awards and a 2026 Global Generative AI Award in the Agentic Marketing Innovation category. Finally, Monks achieved a record-breaking number of FWAs and continues to hold the most of any partner.
- We are an equal-opportunity employer committed to building a respectful and empowering work environment for all people to freely express themselves amongst colleagues who embrace diversity in all respects. Including fresh voices and unique points of view in all aspects of our business not only creates an environment where we can all grow and thrive but also increases our potential to produce work that better represents—and resonates with—the world around us.
About the role
- Monks is looking for an experienced embedded Senior Project Manager (Intake) to join a major global client's EU Cross-channel Marketing team.
- This role owns the centralised content intake launching in early 2027, serving as the single front door for customer-facing content across the EU marketing organisation.
- The position operates day-to-day by assessing incoming requests, understanding capacity across internal teams and external partners, and making sure every request receives a clear routing decision and owner.
Responsibilities
- Run the centralised intake day-to-day: triage incoming requests, assess brief completeness and strategic readiness, and coordinate the routing decision within agreed service levels.
- Build and maintain a live view of capacity against demand across internal teams (creative, campaign and programme management) and external production partners.
- Apply the agreed routing criteria and campaign tiering model, involving creative, campaign management and media leads where a request needs their judgement.
- Manage prioritisation trade-offs when demand exceeds capacity: propose alternative support paths or later slots, and escalate clearly where a decision is needed.
- Track every request through to an owner and a status, with declines and redirects logged with a reason.
- Partner with the intake tooling owners to refine the automated intake and backend tracker, and feed operational learnings back into the model.
- Support quarterly and annual demand planning, so that planned campaigns and tentpoles enter the intake as committed demand.
- Communicate expected service levels, lead times, and limitations clearly to requesting teams, and help them submit better briefs.
- Give leadership a clear, current view of incoming demand, routing decisions, and capacity pressure at all times.
Requirements
- 7+ years in project or programme management in a creative, marketing or production environment, agency or in-house.
- Proven track record running complex, multi-stakeholder programmes end to end, and owning capacity and prioritisation decisions across teams and partners as part of that.
- Comfortable operating in an ambiguous, newly established process and building structure as you go.
- Confident stakeholder management at senior level, able to say no or not yet and hold the line on priorities.
- Strong grasp of the creative and production process, so you can judge what a brief really needs and how long it will take.
- Fluent with project and resource management tools, and curious about automation and AI in process design.
- Highly organised, detail-focused and able to run many parallel threads without losing the overview.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in a marketing operations or traffic function.
- Experience with centralised intake or shared-service models.
- Familiarity with multi-market campaign delivery and localisation.
