Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
10+ years of experience in storage, infrastructure, or distributed systems roles.
Hands-on experience building and operating custom database systems.
Depth in several of: caching systems, object storage, message queues, or data streaming.
5+ years in engineering leadership, managing teams through ambiguity to deliver production-scale systems.
Track record of building reliable, high-availability systems at significant scale.
Strong operational instincts regarding reliability and execution.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners.
Comfort with ambiguity and a bias toward learning new tech stacks.
