About the role
- The Engineering Manager for Agentic Apps will lead the development of critical infrastructure for AI agents that perform actions on behalf of Robinhood customers and employees.
- This role involves guiding engineering teams in leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs) to build scalable, trustworthy, and regulated financial products.
- The position requires close partnership with Legal, Compliance, and Security teams to implement eval-gated releases and audit trails for agentic workflows.
Responsibilities
- Build and lead the team behind agentic applications, including hiring and roadmap ownership.
- Set technical direction on agent orchestration, tool integration, evals, and permissioning for consequential actions.
- Build eval-gated releases, guardrails, and approval flows for money-moving actions.
- Develop audit trails in collaboration with Legal, Compliance, and Security.
- Own production reliability for nondeterministic systems, including SLOs, fallbacks, and incident management.
- Define and track metrics such as task completion, quality, latency, and cost per task.
Requirements
- 10+ years managing software engineers.
- Hands-on depth in LLM systems, including shipping tool-calling agents to production.
- Experience running consumer-scale production services including SLOs and on-call responsibilities.
- Ability to turn conflicting input into a focused roadmap with measurable goals.
- Direct and clear communication skills with engineers, product teams, and executives.
- In-person attendance 5 days per week in the office.
