- Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of hands on experience in ETL operations, data transformation, or data migration.
- Experience with structured and unstructured datasets and transformation logic.
- Familiarity with ETL tools, scripting languages, and data pipeline operations.

AnaVation is seeking an ETL/Data Migration Engineer to support data extraction, transformation, validation, and loading activities for a major federal modernization program.
The role involves executing ETL workflows, preparing data for cloud ingestion, and ensuring data quality standards are met within a mission-critical environment.

Execute ETL workflows for structured and unstructured datasets migrating from legacy systems to cloud environments.
Perform data extraction, transformation, cleansing, normalization, and enrichment.
Troubleshoot transformation issues and coordinate resolution with senior staff.
Support automation improvements to enhance repeatability and reliability of ETL operations.
Prepare datasets for migration cycles, including pre-migration readiness checks and staging.
Perform pipeline monitoring and basic performance validation during data movement.
Conduct verification activities to confirm accuracy, completeness, and consistency of transformed data.
Identify defects or anomalies and work with engineering and QA teams on root cause analysis.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Data Engineers, QA, and Product Owners.
Maintain data maps, ETL logs, transformation procedures, and technical documentation.

Bachelor’s degree.
Active Top Secret (TS) clearance with eligibility for SCI and ability to obtain a CI polygraph.
Must be able to work full-time on-site in Huntsville, Alabama.
Experience with structured and unstructured datasets and transformation logic.
Familiarity with ETL tools, scripting languages, and data pipeline operations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively within multi-team, fast-paced technical environments.

Experience supporting federal government/national-security programs.
Experience working within cloud migration or cloud-based ETL operations (AWS preferred).
Familiarity with DevSecOps workflows, CI/CD processes, or distributed compute tools.
Intermediate scripting or automation skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell, etc.).
