About the role
- The Gaming DevOps Engineer will support the Gaming Area within Product Development, focusing on game play and discovery across 25+ online brands.
- The role involves preparing the platform for containerization, improving cloud deployment, and increasing system scalability while maintaining high quality.
- You will act as a technical enabler for development teams, providing tooling and guidance to foster a culture of developer-led deployment.
Responsibilities
- Support backend and frontend development teams with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure solutions.
- Lead the migration from Octopus to GitHub Actions.
- Design and evolve monitoring systems using Prometheus and Grafana.
- Integrate observability, including tracing, logging, and metrics correlation, into CI/CD workflows.
- Support and extend custom-built infrastructure components to handle increased traffic and complex routing.
- Collaborate with frontend and backend teams to ensure performance, scalability, and security.
- Provide tooling and guidance to developers across environments.
- Champion DevOps best practices and empower teams to take ownership of delivery pipelines.
Requirements
- Experience with GitHub Actions and Octopus.
- Proficiency with Prometheus and Grafana for building dashboards and alerting.
- Experience with custom-built NGINX setups and complex routing.
- Strong knowledge of AWS (EC2, ALB, VPC, EKS).
- Experience managing infrastructure using Terraform and modules.
- Proven experience setting up and managing Kubernetes clusters (AWS EKS or Rancher RKE).
- Ability to write scripts in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Proficient in Git and versioned source control practices.
- Solid understanding of DevOps culture and ITIL best practices.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and problem-solving skills.
