About the role
- Capco is seeking a Java Backend Developer for their Bangalore location to work on projects in the financial services industry.
- The role involves driving the analysis of business and functional requirements to design and develop technical solutions.
Responsibilities
- Drive analysis of business requirements, functional requirements, and technical specification documents to design and develop technical solutions that meet business needs.
- Assess opportunities for application and process improvement and obtain broader buy-in across global stakeholders.
- Pro-actively share and report risks, issues, challenges, blockers and forthcoming tasks with the stakeholders and team.
- Lead and manage technical aspects of API framework design and development.
- Understand overall production Incidents / RCA for any feature that is delivered.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in backend development with a strong focus on Java, Microservices and Kafka.
- Experience with Java Spring boot Microservices with expected knowledge of Kafka, Basic knowledge of Database.
- Experience with TDD and BDD.
- Must have experience with one of cloud (GCP, AWS or Azure).
- Experience with Kubernetes and containers.
- Hands-on experience on Spring boot, Webservices, Microservices, SOAP and REST.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices (Jenkins, GitLab).
- Knowledge of Kafka is preferred.
