Develop core system components, evals, and feedback loops to harden AI design and code generation.

Build accessibility, responsiveness, and performance into the system by default.
Set clear contribution, governance, and deprecation models to balance speed with system integrity.
Meet regularly with designers and engineers to incorporate feedback and usage data into future builds.
Share AI tools, workflows, and tactics with wider design and engineering teams.
Champion and embed Samsara’s cultural principles as the company scales.

8+ years of experience in design engineering, design systems, product design, or front-end engineering.
Proven experience building UX/UI for web and mobile applications.
Shipped design system or component library work with a portfolio, case studies, or code samples.
Strong interaction and visual design skills.
Experience with design tokens, theming, and accessibility standards.
Regular practice using AI tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, Figma Make) with the ability to explain, review, and debug generated code.
Experience partnering with designers, engineers, and product managers on short cycles.
