About the role
- The candidate will independently own or contribute to multiple initiatives within the mobile development squad, supporting products used on desktop browsers and mobile devices.
- The role involves working across the full stack to develop and support products used by Morgan Stanley's global employees and businesses while operating in an agile environment and implementing DevOps best practices and automation.
Responsibilities
- Design and build advanced web and mobile applications.
- Develop automated processes and workflow improvements supporting corporate-owned mobile devices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Integrate applications with external/vendor data sources and APIs.
- Develop and execute unit tests to ensure robustness, edge-case handling, usability, and reliability.
- Work on bug fixing and application performance improvements.
- Continuously evaluate and implement new technologies to improve development efficiency.
- Ensure high standards of user experience and satisfaction for internal clients.
- Create, review, and maintain support documentation.
- Provide escalation support, troubleshoot issues, and identify root causes for resolution.
Requirements
- iOS Development (Swift) including developing and deploying iOS applications, native iOS frameworks, complete application lifecycle management, provisioning profiles, certificates, and TestFlight and App Store deployment.
- Hybrid Mobile / Web Application Development including Angular, Capacitor (or similar hybrid frameworks), building hybrid iOS applications using web technologies, and integration of native plugins with web applications.
- API & Library Integration including REST APIs, third-party SDKs and libraries, authentication frameworks (OIDC/OAuth), and API troubleshooting and integration.
- Java Development & Object-Oriented Design including strong Java fundamentals, backend services supporting mobile applications, and OOP/OOO design principles.
- Troubleshooting & Debugging including mobile application troubleshooting, API integration troubleshooting, and production support experience.
- Git & CI/CD including Git, Jenkins, and build and release pipelines.
Preferred qualifications
- Android Development (Kotlin / Java, Android deployment, native Android troubleshooting)
- Mobile Device Management (MDM) / Intune (Microsoft Intune, App Protection Policies, Managed App Configuration, Intune Graph API, corporate mobile deployment)
- Linux / Shell Scripting (Bash shell scripting, Unix/Linux support)
- Relational Databases (Sybase, DB2, SQL development)
- Python or Other Scripting Languages (automation, operational tooling)
- Apache / Tomcat (web application deployment, logging and troubleshooting)
- Communication Skills (stakeholder communication, ability to work with non-technical users)
