About the role
- Zenoti is seeking a Lead Reliability Engineer - Network and Security to build and operate the security controls protecting the cloud estate.
- The role involves partnering closely with InfoSec, Platform, and Engineering teams to enforce network and security controls across a distributed multi-tenant SaaS architecture.
Responsibilities
- Own network architecture and connectivity by designing, building, and running the network backbone of a distributed, multi-tenant SaaS estate.
- Secure the edge and perimeter by running the WAF, DDoS protection, Front Door/CDN, firewalls, and egress control with flow analytics and cross-cloud path monitoring.
- Automate network and security as code using secure-by-default Terraform modules, IaC scanning gates, drift detection, policy-as-code, and automated lifecycle management.
- Operate detection, response, and resilience by leading detection engineering, SIEM tuning, incident command, and disaster recovery and ransomware-recovery architecture.
- Keep the organization continuously compliant by maintaining a control registry mapped to SOC 2, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, and regional privacy laws, and governing identity, PKI, and encryption.
Requirements
- 8+ years designing and operating infrastructure in Azure and AWS, with deep expertise in both network and security.
- Deep cloud networking experience including vWAN/hub-spoke, ExpressRoute/VPN, BGP and routing, DNS, load balancing, private connectivity, and firewall and WAF management.
- Security fundamentals expertise covering TLS/PKI, IAM, SIEM, threat analysis, and EDR and vulnerability/patch management across Windows and Linux.
- Strong automation skills in production IaC, CI/CD pipeline integration, and scripting in Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Familiarity with multi-tenant SaaS architecture including tenant isolation, blast-radius thinking, and data residency across regions.
- Workload and data security experience including Kubernetes hardening, encryption and key management, and SQL Server and PaaS datastore hardening.
- Brownfield pragmatism for migrating legacy estates to secure baselines without outages.
- Solid command of SOC 2, PCI-DSS, and HIPAA audits, including customer security questionnaires.
- Clear written communication skills for producing ADRs and translating risk into business terms for leadership and auditors.
- Ability to influence through technical depth in a fast-paced, scaling SaaS environment.
