About the role
- As a member of the Betsson Group Legal Team, you will work closely with stakeholders across the organisation to provide practical, commercially focused legal advice and support.
- You will play an important role in helping the business navigate legal and regulatory challenges while supporting strategic growth initiatives across the LATAM region.

Responsibilities
- Advising and counselling the organisation on various legal matters and complex projects
- Identifying legal issues, providing analysis of legal risks and creating and implementing solutions structured to achieve business objectives efficiently
- Raising business’ awareness of legal issues and ensure early legal involvement
- Acting as legal counsel to the organization in all activities relating to the contractual negotiations, labour affairs and statutory obligations
- Partnering closely with the rest of the organisation and taking responsibility for independently structuring, reviewing and drafting of a variety of complex transactions and contracts related to commercial, gaming and betting affairs as well as other documents involving Betsson Group’s operations
- Negotiating directly with commercial, gaming and betting providers on drafting contracts and ongoing contracts management
- Providing other ad hoc assistance, where necessary, including in respect of commercial negotiations with other service providers
- Substantiating recommendations and advise on appropriate actions to support the management decision processes
- Managing disputes and litigation and/or investigations, and making operational decisions independently
- Providing training in different relevant legal topics to key internal stakeholders
Requirements
- You are a qualified lawyer (law degree/post-grad from a reputable university) with 5+ years of work experience, either with a reputable consultancy/law firm or as in-house counsel for multinational companies
- Providing practical guidance to international businesses, project management and handling complex legal issues and you can demonstrate experience in this
- Negotiating, drafting and closing complex commercial transactions and providing quick, concise, and practical legal advice and to problem-solve as pro-actively and commercially aggressively as possible
- Understanding of both the Legal and Compliance view toward risk and regulatory issues
- Adapting to a fast-paced and pressurized environment, with an ability to act decisively; you are a self-sufficient individual with excellent interpersonal skills, as well as able to work in a tightly knit team supporting others when needed
- Proficiency in English – excellent command of both written and spoken, outstanding communication skills
Preferred qualifications
- Other languages are a plus.
- LL.M. in Commercial and/or Corporate Law.
- Additional experience in the IT, E-Commerce, and/or online gaming sector.
Workplace
- International travel may be required.
- You will be based in Bogota, Colombia, and report to the Legal Business Partner for the Latam Region.
