About the role
- The Marketing Manager- Festivals is responsible for developing and executing marketing and promotional plans for festivals. This role involves managing marketing budgets, overseeing social media accounts, and coordinating with artist management and media outlets to drive ticket sales.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute marketing and promotional plans in collaboration with festival directors and talent buyers.
- Generate and manage marketing budgets, ensuring funds are allocated correctly.
- Prepare advertising settlements for each show.
- Oversee social media accounts, including developing ad copy and implementing ad schedules.
- Evaluate show performance and adjust marketing strategies based on market conditions.
- Supervise publicity, coordinate press interviews, and manage artist availability for promotions.
- Pitch promotions to media outlets, negotiate rates, and schedule radio time.
- Develop additional marketing opportunities to increase ticket sales.
- Request and manage marketing assets such as ecards, banners, and posters.
- Oversee interns and assistants.
Requirements
- BA/BS Degree (4 years) in Marketing, Business Communications, or PR.
- 4-6 years of related work experience.
- 4-6 years of experience with media buying.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of social media and online marketing initiatives and strategies.
- Must be internet savvy.
- Proficient in Photoshop and MS Office.
- Creative and detail-oriented with the ability to juggle multiple tasks.
