About the role
- DEPT is seeking a Mid/Senior Social Creative with a strong passion for social, culture, and ideas to develop organic social concepts and content.
- The role involves taking ideas from initial briefs through concepting, storyboarding, presentation, and production for a range of consumer brands.
- Candidates will combine creative thinking with writing skills and platform understanding to produce native social content supported by trends, insights, and data.
Responsibilities
- Develop standout ideas for organic social, both planned and reactive
- Concept social-first content, formats and campaign ideas
- Write engaging copy, hooks, scripts and social captions
- Create storyboards, treatments and creative presentations
- Use cultural trends, audience insights and data to inform creative thinking
- Present and sell creative ideas clearly and confidently
- Collaborate with designers, editors, strategists, media specialists and account teams
- Attend and contribute to social-first shoots and productions
- Adapt creative ideas to different platforms, audiences and brand voices
- Use performance data and learnings to continuously improve social content
Requirements
- Experience in a social-first creative role, either in an agency or in-house
- Strong portfolio demonstrating social-first concepts and creative thinking
- Experience with concepting, copywriting and content production
- Strong understanding of platforms such as TikTok and Instagram and how content performs on them
- A genuine interest in internet culture, social trends and the way people communicate online
- Ability to turn trends, cultural insights and audience behaviour into creative ideas
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- Confidence presenting and explaining creative ideas
- Experience working collaboratively with designers, editors and other creative disciplines
- Ability to work quickly and comfortably in a fast-paced environment
