About the role
- Join Think Zone as a Part-Time Math Tutor to help elementary and middle school students build confidence in math while gaining valuable leadership, communication, and teaching experience.
- This role is designed to work around your school schedule, offering 6–12 hours per week with opportunities for additional hours.
Responsibilities
- Tutor K–8 students through personalized one-on-one math instruction
- Explain math concepts in ways students can easily understand
- Encourage problem-solving and critical thinking
- Build students' confidence and celebrate their progress
- Create a positive, engaging learning environment
- Track student progress using curriculum and resources
- Build positive relationships with students and families
Requirements
- Enjoy helping others learn
- Have a strong foundation in math
- Communicate clearly and patiently
- Are responsible and dependable
- Love encouraging and motivating younger students
- Are currently in high school (16+) or college, or have a high school diploma
Preferred qualifications
- Teaching or tutoring experience is a plus, but not required
