About the role
- The Principal, Design will lead and execute design strategy for the Madrid studio, focusing on expanding the portfolio and elevating the brand across Spain.

Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of the Design strategy for the studio.
- Collaborate with the Spanish Design Lead to craft annual business and workforce plans.
- Build and manage strategic client relationships to drive new business opportunities.
- Oversee all studio design projects to ensure quality, creativity, and alignment with client goals.
- Provide financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting for the design studio.
- Partner with Delivery and Management teams to ensure projects meet financial targets.
- Lead high-stakes bid and pitch presentations to win new business.
- Drive best practices, design processes, and technology initiatives across the studio.
- Collaborate with Studio Management to develop and implement risk management strategies.
- Champion Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives within the studio.
Requirements
- Degree in architecture or an equivalent design-related discipline.
- Proficiency in Revit with an understanding of its integration into project workflows.
- High level of technical knowledge and design expertise.
- Strong understanding of project financials, corporate real estate (CRE), and approvals processes.
- Experience leading and developing high-performance teams on large and complex projects.
- Proven ability to cultivate strategic client relationships.
- Excellent pitching, presentation, and communication skills.
- Reputation for innovative, conceptual thinking and the ability to influence others.
- Demonstrated ability to develop talent and build organizational capability.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to navigate change and growth.
