About the role
- We seek an experienced, results-driven purchasing manager to join our team at Groww.
- As a purchase manager, you will be responsible for handling the procurement process, sourcing suppliers and managing vendor relationships to ensure a seamless supply chain and optimise costs.
- You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams, make strategic decisions and implement best practices within our procurement function.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies and policies for cost optimization and supply chain efficiency
- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost-effectiveness, and ethical standards
- Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to ensure favorable pricing and mutually beneficial agreements
- Manage supplier relationships, including performance evaluation, issue resolution, and long-term partnership building
- Conduct market research and analysis to stay updated on industry trends and pricing fluctuations
- Monitor inventory levels, analyze demand patterns, and implement inventory management strategies
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and align procurement with organizational goals
- Implement procurement systems and tools to streamline processes and enhance efficiency
- Analyze and present procurement reports, performance metrics, and cost-saving opportunities to management
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and promote ethical and sustainable sourcing practices
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, engineering or a related field.
- 2+ years in procurement/purchasing in a fast-paced, competitive environment in the Indian market.
- In-depth knowledge of procurement principles, strategies and best practices.
- Strong skills in budgeting, cost optimisation and negotiation techniques.
- Knowledge of vendor management and inventory management systems.
- An analytical mind with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in using procurement software and systems.
- Knowledge of local and national laws and regulations related to procurement.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced and competitive environment.
Preferred qualifications
- Knowledge of Admin , HR, IT , Marketing Spends.
