About the role
- WCNC Charlotte is seeking a dynamic and visionary producer to lead our Charlotte Today lifestyle program into its next era of success.
- This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of one of Charlotte's local entertainment shows by overseeing content development and production.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement innovative strategies to enhance the show's content and audience engagement.
- Collaborate with the entire Charlotte Today Team to create compelling segments that resonate with viewers.
- Oversee daily Charlotte Today calendar and resource allocation to maximize production value.
- Analyze linear and streaming data to continually refine and improve the program.
- Organize and execute sponsored segments.
Requirements
- Proven track record in television production, preferably for a magazine-style or news program.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional leadership skills and experience.
- Ability to make critical decisions under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Creative vision for evolving "Charlotte Today" content and workflows.
- Ability to calmly handle live, breaking news, and changing events
- Strong organization, planning skills and the ability to work under constant time-sensitive deadlines
