About the role
- The Product Designer for the Claude Developer Platform will work at the intersection of craft, research, and product intuition to shape user interactions with AI.
- This role involves partnering with engineers and researchers to design for emerging capabilities, prototyping rapidly, and inventing patterns native to AI.
- The position requires a designer who can navigate ambiguity and ship high-quality, polished work in a fast-paced startup environment.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and AI researchers to define product vision, strategy, and roadmaps.
- Understand technical architecture to define primitives for new capabilities.
- Define feature areas with attention to detail and polish to improve quality and consistency.
- Craft user interfaces that build trust and showcase AI technology.
- Work across code, design, and prototypes to communicate concepts.
- Find creative ways to ship high-quality work in a resource-constrained environment.
Requirements
- Experience designing and shipping complex workflows, enterprise/B2B SaaS, developer tools, or API products end-to-end.
- Proven track record of executing end-to-end on large and complex products in ambiguous environments.
- Portfolio demonstrating user-centered design thinking and UI craftsmanship.
- Proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools, such as Figma.
- Experience using AI tools such as Claude Code as a creative partner.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills to influence without authority.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience prototyping with front-end code (e.g., HTML/CSS/JS).
- Passion for crafting scaled, highly impactful, safe and beneficial artificial intelligence technologies.
