The Production Material Handler I’s responsibilities are to maintain accuracy and control, with minimal supervision, of inbound and outbound materials and the Kanban levels in the designated production Kanban areas.

Maintains accurate logs, files and computer systems for material receipts, issues, returns and Lot control.
Maintains accurate inventory levels in Kanban and reconciles shortages or overages.
Processes daily material issues and returns
Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory
Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders
Monitor and maintain Kanban inventory levels in the designated production areas where material is stored for production use.
Perform appropriate material transactions/functions (using computer ERP/MRP system or paper-based forms/documents) required to issues, handle and/or record materials transactions.
Maintain a clean, neat, safe work area (i.e., sweeping, emptying trash, general cleanup).
Escalate issues to supervisor for resolution, as deemed necessary.
Able to operate material handling equipment (including electric and manual pallet jacks, hand trucks).

High school graduate or general education degree (GED) with 1+ years recent or comparable experience working in a manufacturing environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Computer experience
Ability to follow written instructions
Good oral and written communication skills
Satisfactory completion of background check
Ability to work day shift hours of: 7 am to 3:30 pm
