Provide leadership for a team
Take full ownership of backend features and improvements, from design through implementation, deployment, and production support
Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend services using Python and Django
Build and maintain integrations with external systems, including KYC, geolocation, and payment partners
Work closely with product and engineering teams to scope and deliver new integrations
Implement observability across integration flows, including monitoring, logging, and alerting
Write unit and integration tests to ensure system reliability and improve test coverage
Support production issues and participate in on-call rotations

Experience leading and managing a team of at least 3 engineers
At least 5+ years of development experience, with Python as the primary language
Strong experience in API and system integrations
Proven experience integrating third-party APIs, with deep understanding of webhooks, callbacks, idempotency, and failure handling
Experience with observability tools to monitor and troubleshoot production integrations
Strong fundamentals in algorithms, data structures and concurrency
Experience in architecture design of highly loaded and scalable solutions
Strong understanding of the full software development lifecycle
Experience in early-stage startups and fast-paced engineering environments
Experience in writing automated tests and defining test automation strategies
