About the role
- The QA Automation Engineer will design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks for web and mobile applications.
- The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver automated test solutions for clients in the financial and energy sectors.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks for web and mobile applications.
- Develop automated test scripts using Playwright for web applications and Appium for Android/iOS mobile applications.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, end-to-end, and cross-browser/device testing.
- Integrate automated test suites with CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
- Develop reusable automation components and improve test framework scalability and maintainability.
- Perform API testing and automation using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or Playwright API.
- Analyze test failures, application logs, and defects to identify root causes.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, business analysts, and QA engineers throughout the SDLC.
- Track defects and testing activities using tools such as JIRA or Azure DevOps.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure automation code follows engineering best practices.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in QA Automation, SDET, or Software Testing.
- Strong hands-on experience with Appium for mobile automation.
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright for web/UI automation.
- Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Python.
- Good understanding of Android and iOS application testing.
- Experience with cross-browser and cross-device testing.
- Strong knowledge of automation framework design, including Page Object Model (POM).
- Experience with API testing and automation.
- Experience with version-control systems such as Git.
- Hands-on experience integrating automation tests with CI/CD tools.
