About the role
- The Security Researcher II (WAF) will focus on the implementation, fine-tuning, and automation of Web Application Firewall products.
- This role involves leveraging LLMs for automation engineering and research, as well as documenting technical findings for internal and customer-facing teams.
Responsibilities
- Implement and fine-tune WAF products.
- Build automations for WAF-related tasks.
- Utilize LLMs for automation engineering and research, including parsing advisories and generating mappings.
- Build agentic workflows using LLMs.
- Document technical findings for the research team and customer success team.
- Work independently with minimum supervision.
Requirements
- M.Tech or B.Tech / B.E. / BCA in Computer Science or Information Technology.
- Hands-on experience in working with WAF products (implementation, fine-tuning, and building automations).
- Strong understanding of HTTP protocol.
- Proficiency in Python or a similar language.
- Experience working with REST APIs.
- Experience in effectively utilizing LLMs for automation engineering and research.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred qualifications
- Contributions to open source tools.
- Published research.
- Vendor WAF Certification.
