Deepgram is building a decision layer to provide a single, governed set of metrics for both human and AI agent consumption.
This senior technical individual contributor role focuses on semantic modeling, metric definition, and building agent-facing data surfaces.
As an early member of this new team, you will be responsible for transforming warehouse data into reliable, agent-ready models.

Model the gold layer by resolving identity across Salesforce, the console, Stripe, and billing systems.
Own the semantic layer by authoring and versioning metric definitions to ensure consistency across dashboards, notebooks, and agents.
Build agent-facing tools, permissions, and MCP surfaces to enable analyst agents to navigate data accurately.
Implement assertions for data quality, including grain, uniqueness, and cross-system reconciliation.
Evaluate agent output against known-correct answers to track accuracy and error rates.
Answer complex data questions from sales, product, and finance teams while creating reusable models for future inquiries.
Establish processes and infrastructure for the new team.

Demonstrated AI-native practice, including daily, intricate use of AI tools in workflows.
Production-grade SQL and Python skills with experience in instrumentation and monitoring.
Proven ownership of semantic or metrics layers using tools like dbt, Cube, or LookML.
Strong modeling judgment regarding data grain, keys, and business definitions.
Ability to work in ambiguous, work-in-progress infrastructure environments.
Clear writing skills for defining data contracts and documentation.
