Xsolla is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer for two platform products: Xsolla ID, the identity and authentication platform, and Xsolla ZK, Web3 wallet infrastructure.
Both products handle sensitive user flows including logging in and signing transactions, serving as the foundation for other Xsolla teams.

Own the backend services of your product area end to end, including design, implementation, release, production operation, and on-call duties.
Drive architecture across services by establishing service boundaries, integration contracts, and data ownership, justifying decisions in writing.
Ensure reliability and security of critical flows through SLOs, failure handling, and protection of user data and credentials.
Optimize service performance and cost under load.
Design and build services and APIs (REST, gRPC) for authentication, account management, and wallet operations.
Design data models and storage while optimizing schemas and queries.
Build event-driven and asynchronous workflows.
Own observability including metrics, logs, tracing, and alerting, and act on production insights.
Improve the engineering environment through CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and testing.
Set up and maintain AI tooling in the repositories so the team uses it effectively.

5+ years of commercial backend development.
Expertise in Go, including idiomatic code, concurrency, and performance profiling.
Experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL for schema design, indexes, query plans, transactions, and safe migrations.
Experience with caching strategies and tools like Redis.
Understanding of service architecture, distributed-systems trade-offs, asynchronous messaging, and event-driven design using Kafka, RabbitMQ, or NATS.
Experience designing REST and gRPC APIs with versioning, backward compatibility, and contract documentation.
Knowledge of application security, OWASP Top 10, secrets management, and server-side OAuth 2.0 / OIDC.
Familiarity with containers and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience with production observability, metrics, logs, tracing, and alerting.
Proficiency in reading technical documentation in English.
