About the role
- Tripledot Studios is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join their central AI team to build a game event data hub.
- The role focuses on data ingestion, preparation, and quality, with future opportunities to productionize and maintain machine learning pipelines.
- You will coordinate with studio data engineers to ensure shared solutions align with team patterns.
Responsibilities
- Help build the game event data hub and ingest data from multiple studios.
- Develop and orchestrate data ingestion, preparation, quality checks and backfills.
- Centralize dataset metadata and data quality information using tools such as OpenMetadata.
- Improve monitoring and notifications for pipelines and data assets.
- Coordinate changes with studio data engineers to keep shared solutions aligned.
- Contribute to productionizing machine learning pipelines.
- Monitor and fix machine learning pipelines as part of team rotations.
Requirements
- Experience building and operating data pipelines, including ingestion, preparation, data quality checks, backfills and orchestration.
- Working knowledge of Kubernetes.
- Working knowledge of Airflow.
- Working knowledge of SQL.
- Working knowledge of Spark.
- A practical approach to delivering work with reliability and consistency.
- Ability to collaborate constructively with engineers within the team and across studios.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in the games industry.
- Experience with change data capture or streaming.
- Exposure to machine learning workflows.
- Knowledge of Kubeflow.

Workplace
- Hybrid working model requiring 3 days in the office per week.
- Mandatory office days are Tuesdays and Wednesdays, plus one day of choice.
