About the role

  • As Senior Manager of FP&A, you'll own financial partnership across R&D, G&A, and Cost of Sales — working directly with the CTO, CPO, CFO, and other functional leaders as their primary finance counterpart.
  • You'll translate complex operational activity into clear financial narratives, build the models that drive decisions, and show up as the finance partner your business partners actually want to call.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the dedicated finance partner to R&D, Product, Engineering, ZTS, and G&A leadership; owning the full forecast cycle, including AOP/Monthly/Quarterly planning, as well as bottoms-up budget builds, headcount planning, ELT-ready scenario modeling, and investment analysis
  • Build and maintain dynamic models covering headcount, OpEx, and unit economics across all assigned functions.
  • Lead monthly and quarterly business reviews with sharp variance analysis and a clear point of view; not just a slide of numbers.
  • Proactively surface risks, opportunities, and the financial implications of strategic choices before they become surprises.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Accounting, Sales Finance, and other business units to connect operational drivers to financial outcomes.
  • Contribute to core FP&A processes including monthly flux and variance analysis, Board narrative support, and ELT forecast reporting.
  • Support the Director of FP&A in maintaining and improving corporate financial systems, rollforwards, and planning infrastructure.
  • Build systems and processes — including agentic workflows and AI-assisted tools — to automate recurring workstreams: variance reporting, commentary, and scenario planning.

Requirements

  • 6+ years in FP&A or strategic finance, with meaningful time supporting R&D, Engineering, or G&A functions.
  • Background in high-growth SaaS or technology; experience with consumption or usage-based model transitions is a strong differentiator.
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with technical leaders (CTO, VP Engineering, or equivalent).
  • Bachelor's in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
  • Strong financial modeling skills
  • Excel mastery

  • experience with BI tools, data automation, or coding
