About the role
- We’re looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join our London team working in a hybrid arrangement.
- You will enable high-quality human-led decision-making to maximise impact across product, commercial, and operations.
Responsibilities
- Determine which markets or cities to enter next
- Incentivise good rider behaviour
- Determine the impact of exclusive deals with restaurants
- Optimise compensation policy to keep customers happy and ordering
- Evaluate trade-offs between growth and profitability
- Determine how much pricing should vary by distance and by market
- Establish the optimum selection and variety of restaurants in a particular area
- Adapt the consumer app to better suit grocery shoppers
Requirements
- Significant experience in Data Science or similar roles
- Experience leading both simple and more complex experiment designs
- Great communication skills in person, in writing, in code, to technical and non-technical audiences
- Provide clear and actionable recommendations through solid analysis
- Effective problem-solving to address complex and ambiguous challenges
- Ability to think creatively and insightfully about business problems
- Proficiency with analytical tools like R or Python and familiarity with SQL
- A pragmatic, flexible approach focused on achieving impact
- Excellent people skills to translate business needs into data science problems
