About the role
- Axi is seeking a Senior Product Manager (Spot & Derivatives) to join Axi Crypto’s Trading Product Team in Bangalore, India.
- The role involves working closely with the Head of Product to build and scale multi-country trading products across Spot, Futures, Options, and adjacent trading experiences.
- This is a hands-on product execution position requiring significant ownership of the product area from problem definition to execution, iteration, and growth.
Responsibilities
- Own and execute trading products across Spot & Derivatives (Futures, Options) with a focus on stability, retention, and risk mitigation.
- Write detailed specs that translate complex trading requirements into clear, executable requirements for Engineering and Design.
- Go deep into the logic and mechanics of trading products including order types, validation rules, pricing, fees, margin, leverage, P&L, order states, positions, cancellations, failures, edge cases, and risk-related flows.
- Work closely with Engineering to understand, co-own, and influence the architecture, platform behaviour, APIs, MCPs, order lifecycles, dependencies, and technical constraints.
- Partner with Design to build intuitive trading experiences without compromising functionality for core trader types.
- Own the performance scorecard for the charter, resolve blockers, and keep the team moving.
- Stay close to traders, understand their behavior, and channel feedback, data, and research to identify problems and opportunities.
- Define success, metrics, monitor products after launch, and drive continuous iteration while signing off on everything that goes live from the roadmap.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Product Management experience, with meaningful experience shipping equity or crypto trading products.
- Deep understanding of Spot & Derivatives (perps, options, etc.) trading mechanics and the order lifecycle.
- Ability to write and orchestrate detailed product specs that Engineering teams and AI agents can directly execute against, achieving coverage of formulas, edge cases, state transitions, validations, failure scenarios, and test cases.
- Familiarity with AI Native workflows, utilizing AI tools and LLMs as force multipliers with human-in-the-loop judgment.
- Ability to force trade-off conversations and ground prioritizations in business reality.
- Understanding of trader psychology and what matters to traders.
- Appropriate rights and documentation for employment in India.
