About the role
- The Senior Scale Solution Engineer acts as a technical anchor for the scaled customer motion at Databricks.
- This role involves advising customers throughout their lifecycle, from pre-sales evaluation to onboarding and production.
- The engineer will independently manage complex engagements and develop AI-augmented workflows to improve team guidance delivery.
Responsibilities
- Independently own customer engagements across their lifecycle.
- Serve as an expert on the Databricks Data + AI Platform.
- Own technical direction for customer engagements.
- Build and improve reusable AI-augmented workflows.
- Work directly with multiple customers concurrently.
- Set the quality bar for the team.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar relevant experience.
- 4+ years of experience in a technical role, preferably in the Data, AI, or Cloud field.
- Deep knowledge of at least one cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Knowledge of AI-driven development with Python or SQL.
- Understanding of end-to-end data analytics and data engineering workflows and their trade-offs.
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in Korean and English.
Preferred qualifications
- Familiarity with more than one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Databricks Certification.
- Experience building AI tooling and automation.
- Experience in consulting or pre-sales.
- Experience with agentic solutions.
