The Senior Software Engineer for the Ecosystem team will build platforms and integrations that connect Airwallex with third-party software.
This role involves shaping the technical roadmap for the App Marketplace and Extension Framework while improving the developer experience through APIs, SDKs, and tooling.

Design and evolve platforms and integrations across accounting, HR, ERP, marketplace, payment, and open-banking systems.
Build secure, reliable APIs, SDKs, webhooks, and UI-extension patterns for third-party developers.
Shape the technical roadmap for the App Marketplace and Extension Framework.
Contribute to architectural decisions, coding standards, observability patterns, and security practices.
Improve developer experience through clear documentation, sandboxes, and tooling.
Partner with backend, product, design, and go-to-market teams.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience developing internet applications, large financial systems, or e-commerce platforms.
Strong programming or scripting skills in Java, Kotlin, C++, Python, or a similar language.
Direct experience building or maintaining a public-facing developer platform, app marketplace, or extension framework.
Experience designing and building APIs and integrations with external financial institutions or third-party platforms.
Experience developing scalable, reliable systems and working effectively with cross-functional teams.

Deep expertise in Domain-Driven Design and applying it to complex business logic and microservice boundaries.
Hands-on experience with cloud-native technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and advanced observability tools.
Experience integrating AI or large language models to automate integration workflows or improve developer tooling.
