The Product-Led Growth team builds the in-product experiences that help restaurants discover, try, buy, and adopt the Toast products they need. We own the services and surfaces that decide which restaurants see which offers, carry them through purchase and activation inside the product, and tell us whether it worked.
This is measurable, revenue-attached work. Every experience we ship has a conversion metric behind it, and we know within weeks whether it worked. We're a small team with a large surface area, and we're early in turning PLG from a set of hand-built campaigns into a platform: shared targeting, offer delivery, purchase, and measurement services that let us launch a new experiment in days instead of weeks.
You'll ship experiments into production, read the results, and decide what comes next, and you'll build the shared services that make each launch faster than the last. You'll work with product, marketing, sales operations, and data science to turn a hypothesis about customer behavior into a targeted in-product experience, then prove or disprove it with data.

The Product-Led Growth team builds in-product experiences that help restaurants discover, try, buy, and adopt Toast products.
This is a measurable, revenue-attached role where you will ship experiments into production, read results, and build shared services.
You will work with product, marketing, sales operations, and data science to turn customer behavior hypotheses into targeted in-product experiences.

Drive end-to-end development of backend services powering in-product growth experiences including eligibility, targeting, offer delivery, self-serve purchase, activation, and conversion tracking.
Build shared infrastructure that makes future experiments cheaper, including reusable targeting and eligibility services, campaign configuration, and standardized purchase flows.
Build and evolve integrations with dependent systems such as propensity scores, Toast IQ recommendations, CMS campaign controls, billing, contracting, and provisioning systems.
Build LLM-powered experiences on Toast IQ from prompt and tool design through evaluation and production monitoring.
Design experimentation and attribution instrumentation to ensure every launch has a clear measurement story and use production data to scale or kill experiences.
Partner with product, design, marketing, sales, and data science to translate business goals into concrete, testable product changes.
Contribute to technical design and architecture discussions while helping set engineering standards for a growing team.
Mentor other engineers through code review, pairing, and technical guidance.

5+ years of software engineering experience building and maintaining production backend systems in Kotlin, Java, or another object-oriented language, alongside full-stack experience for web or native front-ends.
Proven ability to own features end-to-end through design, launch, measurement, and iteration.
Product-minded builder comfortable making product calls, launching, and iterating based on customer behavior across PM, design, and sales.
Experience with experimentation, A/B testing, or growth engineering with a working understanding of attribution.
Experience building on LLMs or AI platforms in production or in side projects.
Comfortable with ambiguity and making tradeoffs between speed and scale.
Proficient with AI tooling such as Claude, Cursor, and MCP servers.

Interest in agents and tool use.
Experience building customer-facing features on top of data products such as scores, segments, or recommendations.

This is a hybrid role requiring in-office collaboration two days per week in the Dublin office.
