Lambda is hiring a Senior Workday Integration Architect to own the design, build, and operation of their HRIS integration landscape end to end.
This is a hands-on architecture role operating within Business Technology to ensure data flows securely and accurately across Workday, Rippling, and the rest of the company's tech stack.

Define and own the target-state integration architecture for Workday, including patterns, standards, naming conventions, error handling, monitoring, and reusable components.
Serve as the technical lead for integrations in the Workday implementation, driving design sessions, building and testing alongside implementation partners, and signing off on readiness for cutover.
Design and execute data extraction, transformation, and load from Rippling into Workday, including historical data, cutover sequencing, and validation.
Build and maintain inbound feeds into Workday from upstream systems such as Ashby and NetSuite.
Build and maintain outbound feeds to benefits carriers, 401(k), tax filing, international and global payroll providers, equity administration, and downstream consumers like Okta, Lumos, and BigQuery.
Own payroll results, accounting journal, and GL posting integrations to NetSuite, partnering with Payroll Operations and Accounting on reconciliation.
Partner with IT on the Workday-to-Okta lifecycle, access provisioning through Lumos, and Workday security group and ISU/ISSG design.
Design Workday data extracts and RaaS reports that feed BigQuery and the analytics platform.
Establish monitoring, alerting, retry logic, runbooks, and on-call practices for integrations, leading root-cause analysis when issues occur.
Design integrations and integration security to satisfy SOX ITGC requirements and support internal and external audit requests.

10+ years in HRIS, enterprise integration, or systems architecture.
6+ years designing and building Workday integrations.
Taken at least one full Workday HCM implementation live as the integration lead or architect, including payroll and benefits integrations.
Expertise with EIB, Core Connectors, Workday Studio, Workday Web Services (SOAP and REST), RaaS and custom reports, calculated fields, XSLT/XPath, and integration security.
Hands-on experience with an iPaaS or middleware platform.
Experience building or supporting payroll, benefits carrier, 401(k), and tax filing integrations.
Strong SQL and data modeling skills, comfort with file formats and transport, and a rigorous approach to data validation and reconciliation.
Experience operating in a SOX or audit-facing environment.

Workday Pro certifications in Integrations, Studio, Payroll, or HCM.
Experience migrating from Rippling or another all-in-one HR/payroll platform to Workday.
Experience with international payroll providers and employer-of-record arrangements.
Familiarity with the rest of the stack: NetSuite, Okta, Lumos, Workato, BigQuery.
IPO readiness experience, including integration control design and equity compensation data flows.
Experience using AI tooling to accelerate integration testing, documentation, mapping, or reconciliation.

Requires presence in the San Francisco or San Jose office location 4 days per week.
Lambda's designated work from home day is currently Tuesday.
