Build and scale Cache Services on Redis and Valkey, owning cluster migrations end to end.
Productionize cache clusters including capacity planning, shard planning, failover, and replication setup.
Replace manual cache requests with automated, audited self-service workflows.
Operate the fleet in production by defining SLOs and building alerting for metrics like replication lag and memory pressure.
Partner with client teams on caching strategy, including key design, TTLs, and consistency.
Break down larger projects into individual tasks and deliver them in multiple phases.
Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics during the product development lifecycle.
Support the operations and availability of team artifacts by monitoring metrics and participating in on-call efforts.
Contribute to team community through activities like participating in the interview process.

2+ years of experience as a software engineer.
Proficiency in Python or Kotlin.
Experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems.
Familiarity with distributed systems and technologies including AWS, MySQL, Redis/Valkey, Terraform, and Kubernetes.
Experience working on Redis, Valkey, or a comparable in-memory store in production.
Experience automating infrastructure operations with Terraform, Kubernetes, and Python.
Experience carrying on-call for a stateful service and performing root cause analysis.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Must reside in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, or Saskatchewan.
