About the role
- The Software Engineering Intern (Summer 2027) will work alongside experienced engineers on projects that power AI products.
- Interns will collaborate with Product, AI, Legal, and GTM teams to build secure, intuitive systems.
- This 12 or 16-week internship provides hands-on experience across the stack, contributing to real features in production.
Responsibilities
- Own a project end-to-end from coding and testing to deploying to production.
- Present work to peers and leaders across the company.
- Write clean, maintainable code that meets team standards.
- Use AI-assisted development tools daily.
- Own the quality of all shipped code, whether AI-generated or not.
- Build knowledge of supported systems and user needs to inform product discussions.
- Debug problems and follow escalation procedures.
- Collaborate through code review, pair programming, design reviews, and technical documentation.
- Evaluate frontier models alongside senior engineers.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- Graduation date of December 2027 or later.
- Able to work from the New York or San Francisco offices during the summer cohort.
- Previous internship experience.
- Strong proficiency in one or more languages such as Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, Java, or Go.
- Solid general computer science knowledge.
- Comfortable using AI-assisted development tools like Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor.
Preferred qualifications
- Internship experience specifically at an early-stage startup.
Benefits
- Pay: $62/hr-$72/hr in San Francisco and New York.
