About Quince
- Quince is a destination for builders, creators, innovators, and operators who want to come together and challenge the status quo. Our mission is simple: make really high quality essentials for really low prices, fairly and sustainably. We deliver on that mission through a unique manufacturer-to-consumer (M2C) model eliminating the layers of traditional retail that add cost and result in consumers paying more than they need to. We find, build relationships with, and work directly with the manufacturing partners behind some of the world’s finest products. From there, our teams design smart, efficient operational processes and build and deploy proprietary technology, AI, and analytics to help us scale fast.
- What began with a small assortment of elevated basics has quickly grown into a cross-category brand spanning apparel, accessories, home goods, and more. Today, tens of millions of people across a growing number of countries come – and return – to Quince because they trust us to deliver.
About the role
- Quince is looking for a Sr Forecasting & Process Manager, Int'l to own and architect forecasting and planning workflows and logic for international expansion.
- This is a builder role where you will develop replenishment workflows, utilize machine learning, classical forecasting, and AI agents, and prototype solutions when speed matters.
- You will act as a technical partner to a Senior Inventory Planner, sizing launch buys and executing replenishment while building planning intelligence for faster market entry.
Responsibilities
- Define the forecasting and planning method for Quince's international expansion, determining model placement, AI capabilities, human ownership, and end-to-end fit.
- Build and ship early versions yourself including prototypes in Python, SQL pipelines, Streamlit tools, LLM-powered workflows, and agent prototypes.
- Partner deeply with the data and BI team to harden, scale, and productionize what works.
- Work alongside PlanIt and existing planning workflows to build on top of it or bridge gaps where appropriate.
- Develop and own a real point of view on AI in planning, identifying where LLMs and agents add value versus classical models.
- Partner directly with the Senior Inventory Planner operating the system day-to-day to surface model outputs and feed feedback into the architecture.
- Build the analytical foundations the leadership team relies on, including forecast accuracy reporting, scenario modelling, and ad hoc deep-dives.
- Codify planning processes that do not yet exist by translating them into systems or well-designed manual workflows.
- Continuously raise the bar on forecasting accuracy, planning automation, and day-to-day AI integration.
Requirements
- 5+ years working in or directly adjacent to a planning, forecasting, or supply chain analytics function, ideally at a DTC, e-commerce, or multi-category retail business.
- Strong domain instinct with experience owning forecasts, sitting with planners, and living inventory decisions.
- Genuine working coding ability including Python fluency, comfort in SQL, and use of AI tools such as Claude, Cursor, and Copilot.
- A real, articulable point of view on AI in planning based on personal experimentation with LLMs and agents.
- Working knowledge of forecasting techniques across the spectrum, including classical statistical models and ML approaches.
- Comfort partnering with data and engineering teams by writing respected requirements, scoping work cleanly, and translating between technical and operational language.
- Excellent communication skills to explain model limits to non-technical leaders, brief engineers, and explain system recommendations to planners.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience at a high-growth DTC, e-commerce, or marketplace where planning is a real competitive advantage.
- Hands-on experience with planning platforms such as Anaplan, RELEX, o9, ToolsGroup, Streamline, or proprietary equivalents.
- Background in or proximity to launching products or categories with limited history and experiencing the launch-and-react planning rhythm.
- Familiarity with NetSuite or comparable ERP systems.
- Experience shipping LLM-powered or agentic workflows in a production or near-production context.
- A track record of cross-functional partnership with data engineering, ML, or platform teams.
- Background in operations research, applied statistics, or formal forecasting training.
