About the role
- The Strategic Account Executive will manage a portfolio of large, strategic Public Sector customers and prospects in Germany.
- This role involves driving full-cycle sales, from prospecting to long-term growth, by utilizing a consultative approach to help organizations adopt GitLab's AI-powered DevSecOps platform.
Responsibilities
- Manage and support GitLab’s Strategic Public Sector accounts.
- Manage the end-to-end sales process through engagement of internal resources, partners, and the channel.
- Leverage solution selling expertise to identify business potential and build long-term partnerships.
- Develop plans in anticipation of customer business strategies and goals.
- Expand knowledge of the industry and the company's competitive posture.
- Contribute to root cause analysis on wins/losses and communicate lessons learned to internal teams.
- Provide account leadership and direction in the pre- and post-sales process.
- Conduct sales activities including prospecting and developing opportunities in strategic accounts.
- Ensure successful rollout and adoption of GitLab products through account management.
- Develop formal sales proposals and presentations addressing specific business needs.
Requirements
- Experience selling into highly complex organizations.
- Demonstrated consistent results and overachievement of quota.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, including comfort presenting to C-Level executives.
- Experience with solutions selling and positioning value based on customer needs.
- Deep understanding of Git, Software Development Tools, and Application Lifecycle Management.
- Ability to use GitLab.
- Ability to travel if needed and comply with company travel policy.
