Responsibilities
- Build high-quality Java Spring Boot microservices.
- Integrate services with databases, message brokers, and API gateways.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices.
- Draft API designs and build REST APIs.
- Perform memory leak identification and performance tuning for Java microservices.
- Implement test-driven development and utilize automated test frameworks.
- Engineer scalable, robust, and high-performance applications in on-prem and public cloud environments.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in backend development.
- Strong focus on Java, Microservices, Spring Boot, Kafka, and TDD.
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, containerization technologies (e.g., Docker), and Kubernetes.
- Good SQL fundamentals and data persistence frameworks (e.g., JPA, Hibernate, Spring Data JDBC, Jooq).
- Knowledge of database index optimization for performance efficiency.
- Understanding of HTTP and messaging protocols such as JMS and Kafka.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines including code coverage, integration, acceptance, and performance testing.
Preferred qualifications
- Knowledge of Java 17 or later.
- Experience integrating with AWS services (e.g., S3, SQS, SNS, Lambda).
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform.
