About the role
- The Java Microservices Developer will work on projects for international and local banks, insurance companies, and payment service providers.
- The role involves designing and developing technical solutions that meet business needs while driving analysis of functional and technical requirements.
Responsibilities
- Drive analysis of business requirements, functional requirements, and technical specification documents.
- Design and develop technical solutions that meet business needs.
- Assess opportunities for application and process improvement.
- Obtain broader buy-in across global stakeholders.
- Pro-actively share and report risks, issues, challenges, blockers, and forthcoming tasks.
- Lead and manage technical aspects of API framework design and development.
- Manage production incidents and perform root cause analysis for delivered features.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in backend development.
- Strong focus on Java, Microservices, and Kafka.
- Experience with Spring Boot.
- Experience with TDD and BDD.
- Experience with one cloud platform (GCP, AWS, or Azure).
- Experience with Kubernetes and containers.
- Hands-on experience with Webservices, SOAP, and REST.
- Basic knowledge of databases.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices (Jenkins, GitLab).
- Knowledge of Kafka.
- Experience with Camunda BPM.
