About the role
- Cloudflare is seeking a Technical Customer Support Engineer to join the team and work with customers on a variety of technical support issues.
- You will work closely with the Technical Operations team that is responsible for running the global distributed network.
- This position focuses on providing support on Developer Platform products such as Workers, Workers AI, Pages, KV, Stream, R2, D1, and DO.
Responsibilities
- Work with customers on a variety of technical support issues
- Collaborate with the Technical Operations team responsible for running the global distributed network
- Provide support on Developer Platform products including Workers, Workers AI, Pages, KV, Stream, R2, D1, and DO
- Communicate through various support channels including emails, live chats, phone calls, and virtual meetings
Requirements
- Familiarity with Developer Platform products
- Previous experience working as part of a team in a customer-facing role
- Experience solving HTTP, DNS and other networking-related problems
- Experience with a common web development language (for example, Javascript)
- Understand how the Internet works
- Experience working in a support role where you thrived every time you resolved a ticket
- Comfortable communicating through various support channels and always put the customer first
- Motivated self-starter always looking to expand existing skill set
Preferred qualifications
- Fluent in German, Japanese, French, Spanish, Portuguese or Mandarin
- Familiar with Cloudflare and have a site actively using our platform
- Solid grasp of problem-solving with command line tools (curl/dig/traceroute/tcpdump)
- Familiar with Nginx, Apache, IIS or any other web servers
- Committed to gaining a deeper understanding of DNS, CDN - Cache, SSL, and Cloudflare Workers
- Worked with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MS SQL or other database servers
- Experience with Cloudflare Workers and/or JavaScript
- Experience with Video encoding and streaming solutions
