About the role
- Shield AI is seeking a Program Director to lead a team of Program Managers in the delivery and sustainment of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) Direct Commercial Sales programs. This role focuses on the Europe and Africa markets, ensuring programs are delivered early, under budget, and with high technical performance.
Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional performance in support of customer missions through program management and team leadership.
- Shape and codify processes to collaborate and manage stakeholders for successful program delivery.
- Balance shifting customer priorities related to cost, schedule, and technical parameters.
- Guide the initiation and sustainment of DCS contracts for V-BAT systems.
- Oversee customer relationships and act as the key escalation point for operational performance issues.
- Drive budget, schedule, and scope requirements while tracking standard project management metrics.
- Perform critical path analyses to accelerate pace or mitigate risks.
- Hire and supervise a team of project and program managers to support international growth.
- Develop program managers responsible for planning, scheduling, and controlling complex projects.
- Establish and lead a consistent cadence of effective meetings.
Requirements
- Program Management experience with Aerospace and Defense programs.
- Proven experience building, growing, and leading a program team.
- Deep expertise in project and program management.
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally as needed.
- Ability to run advanced projects consisting of multiple interrelated projects in a self-directed manner.
- Experience with scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project or Smartsheet.
- Significant experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
