Developers and enterprises build on Claude through the Claude Platform, and Anthropic is hiring Engineering Managers to lead teams that build these APIs and developer tools.
These APIs ship alongside SDKs, docs, and tooling that developers utilize in order to build high quality integrations.
The role involves building infrastructure and APIs for agents in production, backed by an identity, verification, and trust platform.

Lead a team of engineers to ship high quality work quickly, owning planning, prioritization, delivery, and operational health
Partner with product to set your team's roadmap, and bring a strong point of view on what developers need
Talk to customers directly and turn what you learn into engineering priorities
Guide API design and architecture decisions for distributed systems that have to stay reliable as usage grows
Work closely with Research, Safeguards, Security, and go-to-market teams to bring new model capabilities to developers safely
Recruit, coach, and grow strong engineers

You have experience managing high-performing software engineering teams shipping developer products, including hiring, coaching, and performance management
You're product-minded and customer-oriented. You care about who uses what your team builds, and you've shaped roadmaps alongside product partners
You've built and scaled distributed systems in production, and you have the technical depth required to guide architecture and API design
You've led teams that ship quickly and hold a high quality bar
You collaborate well across functions and can align teams you don't manage
You care about Anthropic's mission and about developing AI safely
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience in a field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience

Experience building agent infrastructure or products on top of LLMs
Experience with identity, verification, access control, or trust and safety systems

Location-based hybrid policy requiring all staff to be in one of the offices at least 25% of the time, with some roles requiring more time in offices.
Preference will be given to candidates based in NY, SEA, SF or the Bay Area given the current location of team.
